FAQ Material Health

After collecting the material data and determining the relevant exposure routes for each material, we will hand over all the relevant data to the material health assessor. The material health assessor will assign a hazard rating for each chemical and will consider the exposure in the use phase of the product. Based on this, a risk assessment will be carried out. The material health assessor follows the Material Health Assessment Methodology specified by the C2CPII. After completing the assessment, the material health assessor shares a report with the C2C Platform with a summary of the final assessment results. The C2C Platform includes this summary of the assessment in the report that is presented to the C2CPII for final audit.

Yes. By default, we do not share specific material details with your client without your consent. We can arrange an NDA to formalize this practice.

A score of abc-x (lower case) is to specify a single chemical risk. When combining multiple chemicals into one homogeneous material, an ABC-X (capital cases) score will be assigned to the homogenous material. Generally, we only share the ABC-X rating of the overall material with our client. Your client does not get an insight in the abc-x ratings of specific chemicals.

GREY This material cannot be fully assessed due to either lack of full material disclosure or lack of toxicity information for one or more substances.

Please let us know how far you can map your materials ≧ 100 ppm (0.01%). We might consider contacting your suppliers. Or it might be that we can work with the available data up to the specific certification level we are aiming for at this moment.
